Project features psychological horror, disturbing themes, and implied medical torture. All voice actors must be comfortable with intense, eerie, and unsettling performances.
Below are the descriptions of all the characters featured in the project. Please read through them, and when you’re ready to audition, head to this form to submit your audition:
Roles
The Security Guard (Male - Deep & Intimidating)
Description: A cold, authoritative guard at the asylum's high-risk ward. Speaks with a smug, taunting tone.
Vocal Notes: Calm but unsettling. A slow, deliberate speaker.
Example Lines:
“You’re going to love it here” (whispering in listener’s ear)
“Alright, open it! Don’t want to keep our new friend waiting”
Patient #1 (Male/Female - Childlike, Unhinged)
Description: A hyperactive, unstable patient excited about the listener’s arrival… until they hear “Doctor time”
Vocal Notes: High-energy, manic, sudden mood swings.
Example Lines:
(Excited, giggling) “Wheelchair!?! I’m getting a new neighbor!?
(Suddenly terrified) “No!! No doctor time!”
Female Patient (Crying & Afraid)
Description: A woman in distress, sobbing and begging for safety from an unseen force.
Vocal Notes: Genuinely terrified, weak, pleading.
Example Lines:
(Sobbing) “P-please don’t touch me, mister!”
(Panicked scream, then muffled sobbing)
Male Patient (Laughing & Disturbing)
Description: A patient who finds joy in suffering, laughing at others’ pain.
Vocal Notes: Chaotic, eerie, borderline psychotic.
Example Lines:
(Mocking tone, laughing) “That was mean! Do it again!”
The Doctor (Female - Playfully Sadistic)
Description: A cheerful but sadistic doctor, excited about her patient and the electroshock therapy.
Vocal Notes: Playful, sing-song, over-the-top unsettling.
Example Lines:
(Mocking the listener) “Oooh, don’t be so scared! It only hurts for the first three shocks…”
(Excitedly counting shocks) “One! Two! Three! Ooooh, do we have a new record?”
(Last line before listener blacks out, giggling) “Goodnight!”
Three nurses (Male/Female - Professional but Uncaring)
Description: Assisting the doctor, treating the procedure like routine work.
Vocal Notes: Neutral, efficient, detached.
Example Lines:
“All done, ma’am!”
(Strapping down the listener) “Hold still now…”
The Employee (Male - Eerily Calm & Obedient) [CASTED]
Description: A cold, emotionless staff member who escorts patients to the Doctor. Speaks with unsettling politeness, showing no empathy. Either numb to the horror… or quietly enjoys enabling it.
Vocal Notes: Flat, sterile tone with hints of unsettling cheer. Calm, controlled delivery. Can shift into soft, disturbing whispers when addressing the listener directly.
Example Lines:
(Eerily calm) “Our patient here is being transferred… and needs some electric encouragement.”
(Soft whisper, right ear) “Enjoy… doctor time.”
(Light chuckle) “How cute.”
